It was so dark I couldn’t see my hands in front of me. We walked across a muddy field. In the distance, the lights in the air shone in circles, like UFOs. At we got closer, I could hear all sorts of strange noises, music kept repeating over and over, there were hisses and bangs, I could hear people screaming. The hairs on my neck stood up and my heart beat faster every step we took. Crowds were gathering in front of us. I was terrified. The rides at the fun fair looked scary but I was going on them!
